thread A is on top of thread B but i want to more thread A so now its moved but thread A is still showing as active topic in that thread but i want thread B to show and thread A to show when you go into the forum not what you look at it from the board.

Err this is what i had trouble doing, ok if you ever seen a v-bullentin forum when a forum is moved it doesnt show on the main board BUT when you go into the forum it shows where it was moved to.

I think what blake is trying to say is that when you move a topic from one forum to another, it shows on the index page in both forums.

It only does that if you leave the tick in the "Create Link to new location" that helps people find a thread that has been moved.

It does not appear in both if the tick is omitted e.g. when someone has posted an invision support topic in zeta the box has obviously been ticked so that the person who created the support topic doesn't think it's been deleted

Correct, yes. I think, from what I got out of what he explained, he wants to keep this ticked. Where if they view the forum, they'll see that the thread has been moved elsewhere. But he does not want this thread to appear on the index in both forums.

I don't think there is away to stop in appearing in both indexes though of course it will not appear on both indexes on the main page once other topics supercede them.
