Turning the clocks back.

I do not have my board set on "relative time." And the clocks didn't seem to turn back. I do have "Daylight Savings Time" checked, but then I unchecked it, to see if that had any effect. It did not.

You need to make sure that you also change it in your own personal profile, under "board settings".

I did this as well. I live on the eastern coast of the US, and I have it set to EST + Daylight Saving Time checked. It's still showing up as an hour earlier.

I'm a little confused.
Is your clock showing an hour earlier or later than you want it to?
Only in your first post you said you wanted to turn it back, and if that's the case then you need to uncheck the daylight savings box.
That's what I had to do when the UK clocks went back last weekend :)

That worked. I had one of the Daylight Saving boxes checked, and the other unchecked. So much confusion. D:

Thanks!

Does this mean the daylight savings time boxes need to be checked/unchecked manually by each user twice a year?

Yes it needs to be unchecked when you are in the Autumn/Winter and checked when the clocks go forward in the spring

What is the point in having a daylights savings button, if it doesn't make the change for you automatically? I'm not understanding something there. Does it pop up a message that you need to change your clock or something like that?

:)

It doesn't change automatically because there are so many factors involved including the various timezones in the US alone - also if you are in the UK the date for changing from or to Summertime are different from that of the US

In have the Daylight saving button in actually makes change the time easier for members as all they have to do is toggle between yes/no to add or subtract an hour

I have the same feature on my mobile phone which means all I had to do is take the tick out and the hour was subtracted

Thanks peteh,
I understand it's a feature that takes the headache out of knowing whether you need to move the clock ahead an hour or subtract it an hour, not completely automated in plugging into a world clock somewhere, but helping you with the direction of the time change.
