After only recently seeing the third movie (for those who can't remember, it's the one where those two teen girls are 'broiled' in the tanning salon - best scene  ), I was amazed at how brilliant the story actually was, and then went out and saw the newest installment in the series (in 3D might I add B-) ), which wasn't as good in my opinion, but still offered quite a few "wow" moments :P I've since then seen the second one, and am hoping to watch the first this weekend if time permits.

Anyhow, did anyone else enjoy the series as much as me? ^_^

I saw 1-3 until now, probably I'll watch 4th when it will be available in TV. I liked the series, however I'm not its very big lover. Especially I liked mr. Candyman (Tony Todd) in them. I think, I most enjoyed third one but only because I liked motive how main character tried to avoid Death, when he knew what's going on. And how stupid death he had..

I've seen the first three films, and they were decent. But I only ever take interest in them to see how everyone will die rather than the whole trying to cheat death thing...

Spoiler: click to toggle

I love those movies but I haven't seen the newest one yet. I have the first 3 on DVD.

Is the first one any good? All of my friends are saying it's boring but I know never to trust their judgement on movies as they all have the worst taste (i.e. Twilight, 17 Again and so on xD)

I can't remember much of it, but I don't recall it being any worse than the 2nd and 3rd films. It was better in some cases since the characters aren't aware of any such form of death coming for them like in later films where characters eventually find out of the previous films events. So it's got a somewhat more desperate tone to it since none of them really know what's going on.

To be honest I never really liked the Final Destination films, just saw them as random violence with a big CGI budget.

Violence is what people thrive on. We demand blood! :arr:

There's some sick kills in the some of the movies but it does get rather redundant and lame. I liked the one with Ali Larter and the other one with the kids on the roller coaster, though.

I've yet to see the new one but I doubt it's any better than any of the previous movies.

I want to see The Final Destination but I'll wait until I can rent it or something. To be honest, the whole series was never worthy of more than a murmur and occasionally cocking an eyebrow. The acting ranged from just-out-of-acting-school amateurism to passable decency, the plots were lacking and quality scriptwriting was replaced with special effects, gore and purdy people - much like the last three Star Wars movies. =P

Would I watch them again? Sure, they're fine for passing the time. But I wouldn't waste the small molehill of money I seem to spend at the cinema. I have my doubts that the last instalment can even begin to redeem the first three. Sounds like it's all flash and no substance, again. =lol

Which is probably and hopefully why The Final Destination is the last movie in the franchise to be made. :)
