An option for a pre-setup

 Every month there are at least 5-10 topics in support asking "My forums/categories won't show" or something like that (even with the documentations already explaining this). It's getting repetitive when it can be avoided.

So I suggest that there's a default pre-setup option prepared, so that when users create a new board, it will be packaged with a ready category, forum, and other settings that allow them to start using it right away.

This doesn't have to be required - there should be a toggle option when you make a board, so that the alternative is to have a "vanilla" board with almost nothing set up already, allowing the user to customize it from scratch.

This goes for both services.

 Each newly registered ZetaBoards message board comes with pre-registered forums and categories.
The default sections are listed as follows:

  • News & Discussion
    • Announcements & News
    • General Discussion

  • Staff Only
    • Staff Forum
Three appropriate pre-set forum access groups exist in addition to these settings.
This allows a new administrator and any new members to begin posting immediately.

Is this the same idea you were seeking to have implemented, cvn-tv-dip? If I've missed your point completely perhaps you could re-explain. :)

 Yes, that's pretty much what I had in mind.

Now I see that IF doesn't have this but ZB does.
