 So what are your favourite genres of music? I've tryed to be as comprehensive as possible with this poll, but if i've managed to miss out on your fave genres, sorry in advance. Also include your favourite bands from genres chosen if you wish to. I personally am a rock and metal type of guy, but those are just my favourites. I can tolerate most music, apart from this new dance and electonica stuff that in my opinion doesn't even count as music. But thats only my opinion. ^o)

 Different varieties of rock, symphonic metal, electronica, and pop... especially if it comes from a real soulful angle. Country isn't bad either... I sorta grew up on that. And musicals!! :wub:

Just because you don't like that kind of music doesn't make it "not music." Something that's actually NOT music would be something more like rap. Talking with drums does not make it music. I can clap whenever I talk and it doesn't make it music.

 Metal ftw. Black, death, doom, gothic, heavy, progressive, avant garde, power, funeral, white... you name it, I love it. To an extent. Most mainstream bands--Metallica and Slipknot in particular--tick me off.

 I'm listen, what I like. Rock, Sea Shanty, Instrumentals, Metal, Black/Death Metal, Industrial, Techno, MIDI from NES games, some kind of ballads, j-pop, j-rock, Darkwave, oi!, garage, Trance, Harmonica (<-- mostly but not always) Blues, Eurodance, electronic.

That's more or less all. :)

Fave: Blues. The introspective, narcoleptic kind.

Think string base, tasty drumset, barisax in a dim, smokey room.
(or...a beautifully ventilated lounge and surround sound. Whatever fits your environmentally correct image of perfection.)

Dark Lunacy, Equilibrium, Fairyland, Cradle of Filth, Nightwish, and Tarot are my favorite. Versailles gets an honorable mention because the Japanese are crazy good at androgyny. :lol:

 I'm very much a progressive rock/metal fan, but to be honest I love all types of music, anything ranging from Folk and Accoustic to Electronic.

I will listen to pretty much everything with one exception: rap. I loathe 99% of the rap genre.
