What happened to the theme? It was amazing (one of the best ZB themes I'd ever seen). I realise that "Talk Like A Pirate Day" is just one day, but couldn't you put it in the theme chooser anyway? I'm sure it wouldn't hurt anybody and that I'm not the only person who loved the theme.

Maybe Nicola, who made it, will release it, maybe not. Personally I wish, she could release it, but we cannot force her.

Not strictly true. If you tied her to a chair and forced her to listen to the Crazy Frog 24/7 I reckon she might possibly think differently after a few days. Or maybe just theaten her with a short break... at your old people's home. Nicola's themes are awesome, it should be made law that she releases them all.

Most of the themes that get put on this board are more than amazing - but we just can't keep them all up all the time. So they come, then they go, and we all wait anxiously for the next amazing theme to appear. Nemomon: While I agree that Nicola's themes are amazing, and that a lot of people would benefit from being able to use them, I understand why not all of them are released. Sometimes she just wants to make something neat for this board/the people on this board - because I think she enjoys this community. Sometimes it's simply a matter of people like to mutilate themes, and she's seen it happen to hers a lot, so she only releases some of the themes she makes now. I'm definitely not trying to speak for Nicola, so I could be entirely wrong, but from reading a fair number of her blog entries that's the impression I get. Amanda: You're funny. Thesia: Indeed, as Nemo said that was Stephen's altered version of the "Pure Shores" theme. Nemo again: The Pirate Day theme (with the scroll etc.) was actually the one Nicola had made for last year's pirate day that Stephen re-enabled for the occasion. It wasn't a whole new one. I think that's it.

That's why it was only available for a short time. It's also a theme I requested and prefer to keep unique to this board for this event each year. So part of the decision not to have it released is mine. That's not going to change. The theme was made to fit this board and the layout and requirements for the board are not the same as other boards. Which means she'd need to tweak it quite a bit to make it a general release.

So, the question is: if it was made for Your request, why You were forced to use another theme with just old images instead of the original theme in the first place?
