Hello InvisionFree Support,

Perhaps this should have been reported earlier, however those of us it is affecting thought it would end up fixing itself over time. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened... for the past few months now, since about May/June, some members of Mana4X2, myself included, have either not been receiving email alerts to PM's, forums/topics we've ticked the box to say we'd like to receive them, as well as the New Registration Email that usually came in before this started happening,

OR

The emails are arriving almost a week AFTER they've already been seen on the board itself (EG: Tonight I received 5 emails for posts that were put up almost a week ago, as well as a very late New Member Email).

Any way you guys could look into it and help us out? I've had a similar problem before and looked into it and it turned out it was something on my end, however, I found out last night it is affecting another the exact same way as well. There again, it's not happening to everyone, just some of us, which is strange in itself. Thanks heaps.

Mana

Same problem here.
For about the same length of time, I have not received any of the various auto e-mails from my board either. PM alerts, new member validation alerts, and such.

same here - not quite as late, but there'll be nothing, then a whole slew of them (and I also have missed new registrations)

Okay, this glitch is now getting to the point where it's not even sending out the validation emails to new members or current members signing up a new account. Means I have to constantly check and approve them via the Admin CP, even though I have no way of knowing a new person has signed up if I, in turn, don't receive a New Registration At Mana4X2 email.

Some come through, some don't. For those that it's not working for, it's just annoying. Please, help us. This system used to work so well, now it's getting even worse then when I first reported this in.

I've seen another thread here that is also talking about something else that is in the process of being fixed... what about this glitch, which is pretty major when it comes down to it, since it can affect new ones actually signing up to the site. Thankfully they can contact staff via their emails, or other means to let us know, but still...

Sigh,
Mana

Yes, I am. Oh great, don't tell me it's a Yahoo glitch and actually doesn't have anything to do with InvisionFree?

Not sure but when I temporarily switched to using a Gmail account all of my PM alerts, new sign up alerts etc. came through without a problem, as soon as I went back to YahooMail the delays returned.
I've asked Yahoo to look into it and they began doing so but it has been almost a week since their last contact.

Okay, thank you for that. Apologies to InvisionFree, especially if this is definitely Yahoo's fault. Appreciate ya bringing this to my attention, arrow. Keep me posted on whatever communication comes from Yahoo here, pretty please? And if you could link me to where to actually tell them I'm having the same problem, that'd be great too.

Thanks again,
Mana

Hello Mana. You can contact Yahoo from this page/
I hope you have better luck than I am having at the moment with Yahoo, they replied yesterday to tell me how to use the Spam settings to block entire domains ^o)

This problem is ongoing for me. I am not able to make Yahoo understand the problem, they just keep sending preprepared instructions to fix issues that do not relate to this :(
Is anyone having better luck or has anyone got other thoughts about this problem?

I'm getting the same thing, in fact, the first reply they sent me was 'We need this' Blah, blah that. Half of what they are asking I have absolutely NO clue what it actually is. Short of changing emails, I have no other answer. All I know is that through GMail, ALL alerts are coming through fine, so I am going to change my site's email address as well as the email I have on all my accounts on it.

I will also encourage my members to do the same, since trying to get Yahoo Customer Care to actually do something about this without asking for so much additional and sometimes unrelated information, well, basically, I don't have time to muck around.

Thanks again for you help, arrow180 ^_^.

Cheers,
Mana
