It would be really great if ZB would think adding a feature that would allow Admins to put the emoticons that are used on their boards in a particular order. I'm a bit anal like that and would love to be able to this. Also a confirmation screen or undo option for deleting threads like we have when deleting posts would also be greatly appreciated. |

"Deleting" in general should be removed. You should only be able to trash things. I mean, "what if", you do need the topic back? Deleting, in my opinion, is about as useful as a trap door in a life boat. As for the emoticon feature, yeah that's cool. |

I agree, there should at least be an option to enable all deletions (posts and topics) to go to trash if required. There should also be an option to enable only admins to delete from trash, this would pretty much eliminate accidental deletions. The emoticon idea would be a handy feature too

I believe emoticons are placed in order according to the order in which they're uploaded - though, an additional feature to re-arrange them would be handy. |

Deletions working only from Trash as an Admin would be brilliant indeed. It'd be like the PM system, move it to your Archive, then delete it. Emoticon re-ordering would be nice too, although using a number system might be a pain for it if you have lots of emotes, so maybe a better method could be used for emote re-orders.

I'd like to add to this that it would be even more useful to be able to set up seasonal or themed groupings of emoticons that could be plugged in as a group, rather than doing uploads one at a time. Also the ability to have different emote images with different themes without having to use a replacement code would be peachy. Perhaps something that plugs in the new images into the existing emote template, so that shortcuts remain the same theme to theme. I've always found the emote system on IF/ZB to be way too rigid. Sure, some boards don't even use them, but they are an important part of many communities and I believe some easier management techniques could really increase user enthusiasm for the IF/ZB systems.
