Pros is good+ stuff cons is bad+ stuff. Pros: Boards look awesome, layout is great, nice text etc. Cons: Admin and Mod and other staff member panels can be tricky to learn for atleast the first 12 times using. |

Pros: It's easy to use, skinning isn't too hard. Cons: I don't like how simple (appearance-wise) the Admin CP is, it's not as customizable as I'd like. Edited by Mayday, Aug 20 2009, 08:56 PM.

Most admin CP's can't be customized, no matter which service you use. I couldn't imagine the problems a customizable admin CP would have should something go wrong. We allow a tiny bit of HTML in the member groups section, and somehow people lose access to that entire page all the time. You should see how many people b0rk their admin control panel's notepad feature alone. XD |

No lmao, I didn't mean the Admin CP wasn't customizable.. they were two separate points. : P I was comparing the Admin CP to that of Zetaboards, which in my opinion looks overall more professional than Invisionfree. I also think skin-wise, Zetaboards is more customizable (I've yet two see a Reputation System for IF.. but that may just be because I haven't looked hard enough). I'd be too afraid to modify the Admin CP for fear of blowing it up. :l |

Each service has it's own ups and downs. For instance, there are way more InvisionFree skins available for use than there are ZetaBoards themes. The downside to IF is the coding errors it has with itself - you have to make your way around them yourself. It's not really an issue if you don't go that far. |

A game against time itself. If the same can still be said after 6 more years I'll send you an Oreo wrapped in cellophane. InvisionFree was here first and it's been here longer. A statement which will be true as long as the service exists. |

Well, that doesn't really bother me because I design my own skins, since I'm not big on using pre-made things. |

At the risk of looking like a total idiot1: You've made me wonder where you've seen a reputation system in ZB. ![]() If we ignore the things that are just caused by IF having been around for much longer, it comes down to this: The Zetaboards software has more features and allows far more customisation, and as a result of these there are more options, which can make it harder to find the option you're looking for. 1: Actually, no risk; I look like that anyway. |

According to what I've read on here in Brandon's post, InvisionFree won't disappear. I think that last statement will be true regardless, whether it be forever or just six more years. Well, actually, saying InvisionFree has had the majority of the time alive will eventually no longer be true. |
