Will's Day

Today was a very special day for me.
Not only did I have my first opportunity to fly, but I also had the thrilling experience of jumping out of a plane.
  • 10 minutes of climbing up to 9,000 feet.
  • 2 seconds of gut-wrenching anxiety before falling out of a plane.
  • 45 seconds of free-falling.
  • 2 minutes of soft floating and spinning back to Earth.
  • 1 day I'll never forget!

The awesome reminder before getting onto the plane.

We have lift-off. This was a pretty thrilling adventure, never having flown before
It's sort of fun to say that I've taken off in a plane, but never landed in one.

Another shot of the tiny little plane we flew in.
A ride meant for 2 people...yet somehow 5 of us got in.

Time to jump! ^_^

The fall was extremely amazing. It was gut-wrenching for a few moments.
I couldn't remember why I was here in the first place. After my instructor said I could let go of the straps and stretch my arms out like a bird I was pretty...well, elated. Anyway, those are just some of the pictures. There are more of me, but I have to say I'm really not all that pretty...especially in the morning... and even more so while my stomach is upset down and my nerves have got the best of me.

Anyone else been above the clouds and the birds (or wish they could)? ^_^

I'm way too much of a pansy to do skydiving but I have a feeling I'll be coaxed into it sooner or later.

Flying and staying in a plane is a bit stressful for me, I'd hate to have to jump out of it.

wow what a great experience......I've done that in my dreams, but never in reality. Not sure I would be brave enough. :)

...and, as Clay says.... "if at first you don't succeed, sky-diving is probably not for you..."

Now those are fun!

I went on four in total, all the way down some really big hills; through the forests; somewhere in the south of America.

Eeep, a zip wire like you get at children's parks? Where you have to hold on for dear life? :O
And here I was thinking that ski lifts with no bars in front were dangerous...

Except these where hiiiiiigh up above the trees. :D

I was clipped onto the wire with a harness. No suicide attempt from me. v_v

The only bad part was the fact we had to walk all the way up to the top. :glare:

=lol

OcelotJay wonders if Tonehbubbles is attempting to become Tonehsplats. =blink:

You're all nuts. =P Although I do fancy doing some rock-climbing sometime, maybe a bit of...hmm...what's the word? When you descend down a wall via a rope attached to you (usually involves jumping at intervals)? It's...um...hrm... =unsure:

I can't think! :frantics:
