Ok, I've constructed my computer to the spec that I want and everything, only... the paint on the casing has scratched where I've put stuff on top of it temporarily whilst putting the computer together.

I wondered is there any kind of paint I can buy to cover over these scratches on the casing?

Nope. Toss it and start over.

But in all seriousness, you could probably find a matching paint to use, or you could get an awesome sticker or decal to put over it. Or, if your computer's black, just use an Expo marker :P

This is an interesting question. I'd just see if some kind of automotive repair paint will work.

I have spray painted a couple of towers with a glossy black finish with overlays which I later sprayed lime green too add some flare to the look, I will photo tommorrow and edit and post a pic here...and they turned out pretty good, did them in the garage with no wind, dust and on a hot day.

Thats what I was thinking... like the touch up paint you can buy for cars and things like that.

It's a black case, I tried the marker pen, but it looked tacky. The scratches are very fine but visible.

Well if you can't find any paint to do the job,why don't you just find another case thats identical to it and swap it out?

It wouldn't be that hard and cases are pretty cheap,a good place to shop for nice cases, computer parts..computer stuff in general is tigerdirect.com

thats where I buy all of my things to go with my computer and they haven't done me wrong yet, plus their really cheap.^_^

Well, it depends entirely on the case. Generic, brandless cases don't cost an awful lot of money (anywhere up to around £50), the bigger brand name cases such as Antec, CM, Lian Li etc do still cost rather a lot of money.

And unless it's a large amount of damage, i don't even see the need to even worry about it at all. It's a computer case, not the components themselves, so it doesn't matter an awful lot. But if you're looking for a matching paint, i suggest seeing if you can check out a model/hobbyist paint shop of some sort, they often have a large variety of colours and you can buy just a small little pot of it.

Or just build a new case out of cardboard boxes and tinfoil, you know, make things alien proof.

Newegg has treated my dad and I well...I'd suggest it too.
