It has it's ups and downs like each one . However, I can say I liked it more than movie 5. But the crew take too much creative liberty with the source material and it needs to stop for 7. My ranking for it as a movie and NOT as a faithful adaption to the book. Goblet of Fire Prisonor of Azkaban Half-Blood Prince Order of the Phoenix Chamber of Secrets Sorceror's Stone I've learned to simply appreciate these movies as separate from the books. Of course what annoys me about this one is that they don't bother to explain several scenes and assume you've read the book. Which is rather stupid when they go and deviate tremendously from it.

When I logged into Facebook everyone's status was basically: Harry Potter - Midnight Showing! I'm going to see it tomorrow though, I think. @Stephen: I hate when they deviate from the book. Random, but I thought that the video game for Order of the Phoenix was really bare and not like the book at all. I hate that they cut so much out of it. Sure the movies need to be somewhat short, but dont' cut out so many details!

They cut that out as well, although they didn't cut out how he used them. WARNING - SPOILERS. Do not open unless you have read the book and/or seen the movie. Spoiler: click to toggle When Harry uses sectumsempra on Draco, Harry gets no punishment or anything whatsoever. It doesn't even mention the talk afterwards - Snape just heals Draco right up and that's the end of it. There were, however, scenes added as well! (movie spoiler) Spoiler: click to toggle At Christmas, two death eaters attack the Burrow - AND DESTROY IT! Harry, Ginny, Lupin, and a few other people at the house chase the two death eaters into the field nearby, then when the two are running they catch the burrow on fire and destroy it. Shocking. Anyways, I would definitely go see this, even if you have read the book.

Yes, that's as plain as I can make it. The entire movie seemed dry. I'm sure I'll have a much longer, spoiler filled post in the morning. Disappointing... But satisfying... Odd.

It was all about Dave Chappelle's midnight showing around here.. So.. this is the 6th Harry Potter movie? Didn't even know there was a 3rd. I saw like 10 minutes of the 1st one with my nephews a couple weeks ago.

I didn't think it was too bad, but I also didn't read the book (yet?). My friend did say it was extremely different. I can understand some instances where they may need to change the story a bit to reduce the length, but in other cases, why even bother? For example, apparently when Harry is watching Dumbledore about to get killed, he was actually being prevented from intervening. Yet in the movie he wasn't? Why even bother changing that...really. That makes no sense to me.

Just the way they portrayed Dumbledore - in the movies, my friend whispered "I take it Dumbledore got his wand back?" as the flames' light was over the water. That was truly an epic moment.

I was extremely disappointed Harry didn't even have his Invisibility cloak - he just magically went invisible. And then Luna saves Harry on the train, which isn't true - Tonks saves him. Not Luna. And when Snape finds him, he goes off of on Harry - none of which happened in the movie. And the whole Burrow incident never happened. I know what they did it, though (I believe, that is ). I think they did that to prove Harry is still extremely begrudged on Bellatrix for killing Sirius, but still - I didn't like that scene. And I certainly didn't like it when there was no war. They just accepted that Dumbledore was dead, and the Death Eaters just left. Bor-ring, and not what happened.
