Can you be a bit more specific as to what exactly you want your portal to look like? A website can look like many different things.

You might want to check out some stuff on skinning the portal perhaps?

Here something that I have come up with that might work for you.

I visited your website and copied some code for this example.

So, first off, here is the example that I made as a preview:

http://z3.invisionfree.com/portalasweb/index.php?act=site

To make this happen, goto your Admin cPanel, and under System Settings, click on · IPDynamic Lite Set-up

Where it shows:
Code:

Show Affiliates box? Yes No

Select Yes

In the "Show Affiliates box content" box, you'll add the following:

Code:

<style type="text/css">
table.tableborder { display: none; }
#submenu {
display: none !important;
}
#logostrip {
display: none !important;
}
#userlinks {
display:none !important;
}

div.body {
display: none !important;
margin:-20px;
}

div.show {
background: #fff;
color: #333300;
font-family: Trebuchet, Helvetica, Verdana, Tahoma, Sans-Serif, Georgia, Courier, Serif;
font-size: 12px;
text-align: center;
text-align: left; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto;
width:850px;
height: 100%;
margin-top:-0px;
margin-bottom:-15px;
}
.maintitle { text-align:center;vertical-align:middle;background-position: center;font-weight:bold; color:#123E6E;font-size:10px; letter-spacing:1px; background-color:#FFFFFF; background-image: url(http://209.85.12.236/4883/44/upload/p249668.gif); padding:7px 0px 10px 5px; background-repeat: no-repeat; }
.maintitle a:link, .maintitle a:visited, .maintitle a:active { text-decoration: none; color: #123E6E }
.maintitle a:hover { text-decoration: underline }
.titlemedium { font-weight:normal; color:#858585; padding:2px; margin:0px; background-image: url(http://209.85.12.236/4883/44/upload/p233534.gif) }
.titlemedium a:link, .titlemedium a:visited, .titlemedium a:active { text-decoration: underline; color: #858585 }
.row2 { background-color: #EFEFEF; border-top: 1px solid #FFFFFF; }
.darkrow2 { background-color: #BCD0ED; color:#3A4F6C; background-image: url(http://209.85.12.236/4883/44/upload/p233795.gif); color:#858585; }

</td></tr>
<tr>
<td class="darkrow2" rowspan="1" colspan="3" valign="center" height="20">
</td>
</tr></tbody></table></div>
</td></tr></tbody></table>
</td></tr></table></div>

Basically it will hide, or not display, all the stuff you don't want, and then show what you do want.

If you need further instruction, don't hesitate in asking.

If this isn't what you wanted, then I apologize and hope someone else can provide you the answer.

I found this old code you might try:

Code:

<script>
/*
Front Page as Portal v2.1
By Webworldx

*/
if(location.href.match(/\?\w+/) == null && document.referrer.match(location.pathname) == null){
if (location.href.match("index.php") == null && location.href.lastIndexOf("/") + 1 != location.href.length){
location.href += "/index.php?act=site"
} else {
location.href="index.php?act=site"
}
}
</script>

It goes in your Board Wrappers in the Javascript section.

I tested it quickly in Firefox and Internet Explorer and it works, but you need to put your full site address in the script . . .

Code:

<script>
/*
Front Page as Portal v2.1
By Webworldx

*/
if(location.href.match(/\?\w+/) == null && document.referrer.match(location.pathname) == null){
if (location.href.match("index.php") == null && location.href.lastIndexOf("/") + 1 != location.href.length){
location.href += "http://z_.invisionfree.com/__________/index.php?act=site"
} else {
location.href="http://z_.invisionfree.com/__________/index.php?act=site"
}
}
</script>

Place your server number and board name in the url and it should work fine.

It did for me on my test board :)

If your talking about the images that were posted above in the example I gave you, look for the part of the code that has the image tags:

Code:

<td class="row2" valign="top">
<img src="http://

The address to the images are in the <img src.... tags. You'll have to change the src, or URL address, to the image you want to display instead.

For example, one of your images is displayed by this code:

Code:

<img src="http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg141/jeaniel_bunny/SHE%20Daphne/cf3e6c10a537dce4a6ef3fbb.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0">

You'll change the http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg141/jeaniel_bunny/SHE%20Daphne/cf3e6c10a537dce4a6ef3fbb.jpg to some other images address.

I hope this is what you were talking about.

Hi, can we add a announcement box or a lateset updates scroll box to this code? have tried using this code on my forum and it looks good after modifying the code but thought it would be better to have a scroll box on the left of the page to put news/topic thread title...etc. Btw is there a scroll box or lateset update box codes/script in invisionfree forum?

Thanks and appreciate your help in advance.

My forum with the above code used after modifying - http://z12.invisionfree.com/SGTOG/index.php?act=site

Simply modify the table code to accommodate your marquee scroll.

For example:
Code: HTML

<table>
<tr>
<td width="however wide you want the side bar" valign="top">
your <marquee> code
......
If you want more stuff, write a table here for multiple table data sections, or divisions
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="remaining width you want" valign="top">
Something cool here, like a picture of puppies :)
......
Same as above, you can use a table and/or divisions for more control of content
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Realize that the above example is very basic, but nonetheless should give you a basis to begin with.

Hope this helps!
