There are a couple of features I would love to see on Zetaboards. One being the ability to click on a forum name, when viewing the Active Topics, or when viewing members posts and whatnot. The second is the ability to choose whether you want to use a full reply screen, or quick reply when sending/replying to a PM. If that is not already there, that is. If it is, how do you set it up?  I just find the quick reply annoying when writing a long PM.Other than that, I love Zetaboard! Great job on it! |

I don't see a full reply for PMs, but I suppose you could make a makeshift reply by clicking "forward" and sending it back.

The PM system could definitely benefit from a full reply screen. This is a request we see often so I wouldn't be surprised if you saw it wiggle it's way into a future upgrade to the service. |

Full Reply screen PM's would be brilliant, since unless you put a code on the BB tags don't show up and emoticons never appear at all on there, which means you have to try and remember codes for emoticons or skip to a topic to find the code in the reply screens there.

You get a full reply screen just by clicking "send message" without adding any content in the message box. edit: although I'm not sure if it actually attaches your message to the original though Edited by Amanda, Jun 25 2009, 12:17 PM.

It does, regardless of if you fill in the topic/subject line or not. So it's like a hidden full reply feature.

That's good to know - thanks for the tip, Amanda.  Hope it doesn't go the same way as the search for '@' to get around the removal of the search by IP feature in ACP now that someone's mentioned it, though.

I have seen it, y'all and it is uber cool.....  While we are talking about the PM screen, what I would like to see is a way to chain posts together for a one-time forward. Unless I've missed something, it seems you are limited to only forwarding one post at a time. Can get tedious if you need to forward a whole PM conversation. ^ hallelujah and while we are nitpicking the pm system, how about the reply screen at the top instead of the bottom? but I really like the way they are all contained together rather than having 50 of them in your pm box and the end of a conversation. |

Agreed, the forwarding could definitely be improved if you could forward the entire PM instead of one little bit at a time. |

That would be great to see, too. It was mentioned quite a lot after the first few rounds of conversions. And some way of knowing when someone has created a blog and when they've made a new entry, too. But I think one of the staff said a few months back that some upgrades were in the pipeline for that area. Also some things in ACP, like resolving the issues with punctuation. And pages for the list of ban filters, because if you've got a forum that's a few years old it's a pain having to scroll past everything each time you add a new filter. Although perhaps just moving the input fields to the top instead would be easier. Being able to paste an email in one go rather than having two separate fields would be nice, too (seems odd that the similar issue with IPs was addressed, but this wasn't). And also being able to add IP, email address and username at once rather than as three separate entries would be nice. |
