The Topic As I am sure many of you know, there was an election in Iran last week to decide who the president. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the election by 66% of the votes, however this figure is highly debated, and it is thought that Mir-Hossein Mousavi should be in power. For the last five days there have been mass protests and clashes between Ahmadinejad's supporters and Mousavi's supporters. These clashes have resulted in deaths and vandalism across the city of Tehran. Another interesting point about the Iranian elections is that the social media has played a large part in voicing opinions of Iranians as media in Iran has been prohibited due to the protests and disruption.
