Since Ancient Greece plays and dramas have enthralled viewers across the globe. Playwrights such as Sophocles (from Ancient Greece) and Platus (from Ancient Rome) wrote tragedies and comedies that captivated viewers and firmly established the art. Later, in the Renaissance, playwrights, such as Shakespeare kept the tradition alive, producing many classic plays. During the Baroque period, opera became popular, and eventually, musicals began to take shape. Modern musicals, including Phantom of the Opera, and West Side Story, have influenced theater a great deal. Drama has undoubtedly shaped culture throughout history, and now is the time to discuss themes (of plays), plays, and playwrights.

Shakespeare was a very brilliant writter. My favorite play by him would have to be the Tragedy of Macbeth.
The reason would be becasue is shows that someone who has too much power and doesn't know how to sue it will eventually fall. It also talks alot about conscience in there. Macbeth's is nearly gone, until the end. Lady Macbeth has horrible dreams of fear and other htings like that. She sleep walks and yea...
