Mine! Or I will help you not.

Recently, several movie studios have begun to remake or "reboot" movies in an effort to bring in new fans to franchises. Some of these reboots were extremely successful such as Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Others were mildly more successful like The Hulk.

The success of Batman, has prompted others to try the same approach with similar movies such as the new Star Trek movie. In addition, older franchises such as Get Smart have received remakes in an effort to gain more viewers.

This has prompted new debates among fans of the original and fans of the new versions: Which is better?

In this topic, we shall discuss reboots in general. Are the necessary? Has Hollywood run out of creative ideas? Are they necessarily better than the original?
