I flip the switch back to IE8 rendering and the beauty goes poof. Honestly, why can't they just adopt a good rendering engine instead of messing with their own? Trident is a grade-A PoC. It's also a good chewing gum. Microsoft won't adopt anything . Stuck in their old ways.

Posts: 97 Group: Members Member #174,657 Joined: September 19, 2008 I'm Browsing With Firefox 3	Are you sure you're not just doing hacky IE-specific things that older versions needed and IE8 is trying to use those as well? Is the DTD correctly set to strict XHTML? IE8 should render your website just as well as other browsers. It really has improved that much, as far as rendering CSS2 goes. If you don't believe me, check out the acid2 test in both compatibility and standards modes. :p

I prefer the Chrome Basic theme over the default theme, both of which class with the Zune theme I'm using for XP (which is only, what, the fourth official color scheme for XP, not counting Classic?).
