Important? Harmful? Unnecessary? mDNSResponder.exe sqlservr.exe wmiprvse.exe backWeb-8876480.exe EM_EXEC.EXE reader_sl.exe sqlwriter.exe Some of these tend to take up CPU/memory.

Posts: 4,157 Group: Community Moderator Member #31,457 Joined: October 2, 2004 I'm Browsing With Firefox 3	mdnsresponder.exe iTunes uses it sqlserver.exe - MS SQL server suite wmlprvse - Windows Management Instrumentation BUT two viruses one which is similarly named - wmiprvsw.exe is the Sasser worm and one that has the same name - w32/sonebotB http://www.sophos.com/security/analyses/viruses-and-spyware/w32sonebotb.html backweb-8876480.exe - Logitech auto update (apperintly can be disabled some where in user preferences) EM_EXEC.EXE Process name: Logitech Mouse Application Product: MouseWare Company: Logitech sl_reader.exe Adobe Reader Speed Launch (can be disabled in user preferences) sqlwriter.exe MS SQL server process, something about VSS framework.
