Because ActiveX is not fully supported, Chrome is not cool. |

Yeah Google Chrome is ok, but definitely needs a lot more work. |

I've replaced firefox by Chrome now, just for the startup speed to be honest. |

By far, for me at least, Chrome is the fastest (even than firefox) and I still haven't been able to figure out Songbird. |

Because if ActiveX was supported, Chrome would be an insecure program, regardless of its "sandbox" access design. |

I don't think Firefox or most other browsers use ActiveX either. What is this ActiveX for anyway? I don't see why the Internet needs it. Some more extreme anti-IE people (supporting mainly Firefox) call ActiveX simply a security hole or malware. |

I enjoy Chrome. It's a light browser that I use for smaller tasks, such as checking my e-mail. For work Firefox is still my prefered choice. I think both browsers have unique qualities. |

Firefox doesn't use Active X.
You technically can get ActiveX to work with Firefox via Plug-In, but there's little reason to. |

That's what I said. So again, what's the point of ActiveX? |

That's like asking "What's the point of the Trident rendering engine?" The answer: because Microsoft wanted to. |

Chrome has been pretty nifty for me. It isn't as common as the other browsers, and the layout isn't the same, but it is a good browser. Plus, I love that it doesn't crash as an entire program, but rather as a single tab. |

When I tried Chrome it was SLOW. Almost as slow as IE. |

You didn't have tabs on FireFox before? Are you a new user to it?I finally decided to remove Chrome. I just don't like having a bunch of extra programs, especially when I need the space for music.

Many people mention they use Firefox for the add-ons, which leads me to think the browser its self is no good without the customisability aspect. ![]() I my self just simply default to Firefox, as it's a browser I'm used to using; and have used practically from the beginning. I have ten browsers across four machines, mostly for cross-browser testing. I'm not too keen on the new look for Safari, and Chrome is somewhat similar, so I may be more inclined to use Opera on my main machine if I put Firefox away for a while. I like the aim Chrome has, and it is still in beta, so it can only get better. I'm not an avid add-on user, so making a full-time switch won't be too difficult for me. I do use Chrome to browse here occasionally. |
