Hello,

I have a IF forum. And I know I have the option to converted to a ZB, but i dont know if I should do it. Like, what does ZB has and IF doesnt? Why is ZB better than IF, in which way? I dont know to do it and than regret it.

I try to find and to compare the futures of both of them, but no luck yet.

Please help me make up my mind.

Mine! Or I will help you not.

I would recommend registering a test board. Using the features of Zetaboards and then deciding whether or not to upgrade. Keep in mind upgrading your Invisionfree board is one way. There is no turning back once it is upgraded.

ZB is new, some people like to quest into the new wonders of it, I prefer Invisionfree, I know how to work it to make it do exactly what I want.

Someone asked a similar question a few days ago so I'll link you to their topic - http://if.invisionfree.com/topic/5025207/1/#new

If you're interested, I'm working on a complete feature list for ZB that should be out in the next few days.

I prefer ZB aswell its just better lol

note: If you can create and manage a board on IF you will be able to create and manage a board on ZB.

The security in the ZetaBoards software is much more advanced. ZB is generally much safer. =)

Both are completely safe if you keep a strong password :) .

For the time being I'm staying with IF.. I really like the look of Zeta and some of the new features but I prefer some of the existing features that IF has that are not available on Zeta.. ie. pm delete , IP search, different markers for different forums...

If I set up a zetaboard to try, can I move my IF board to the new zetaboard I created or should I use a different name for my trial zetaboard so I can use the name I want in the move?

You can use whatever name you like. The boards you register directly through ZB are on a different server. So your IF board would convert to a different server and allow you to keep that name.

the other concern not mentioned so far is whether conversion is 100% safe (ie no loss of data; posts, profiles)
