did you try doing this? Start->Control Panel->Appearance and Personalization->Personalization and then click "change desktop icons" from the left-hand column. From there just check Recycle Bin and click OK. |

Or, instead of 'Start->Control Panel->Appearance and Personalization->' just right click on the desktop and choose 'Personalization'
