What Does and Does Not Belong in Community Chat The Community Chat forum is for off topic discussion. Discussion pertaining to InvisionFree, ZetaBoards or any other forum related issues belongs in the Service Discussion & Feedback forum. Please direct support questions to the appropriate Support Forum. Please do take some time to ensure you are familiar with our Board Rules, which define our expectations, limitations and act as the general guidance of behaviour which members should observe at all times. What belongs in Community Chat Community Chat is for discussion including, but not limited to topics like: Entertainment in Movies, TV, Music, Video Games, Sports, Computers, etc. Community Chat is where you may discuss topics that do not pertain to InvisionFree, ZetaBoards or forums in general(Bearing in mind that it must follow the board rules and Staff can remove any topic they think unnecessary). For example: Topics on TV, Video Games, Funny Internet finds etc. If you want to play a game, stop in to our Community Games forum. What does NOT belong in Community Chat Board-making Polls and Discussion Because Community Chat is an off topic forum, discussions about various boards do not belong in this forum. Most of these topics instead belong in either the Support forums or Service Discussion and Feedback. However, topics that request members join your board or topics asking for staff, affiliation or requesting themes or codes do not belong on this board. Advertising and Affiliation As per the Board Rules, we ask that users restrict advertising to their profile. Topics advertising your board are strictly prohibited. In addition, making topics asking for affiliates does count as advertising and is also prohibited. If either of these topics are made, they will be removed at the discretion of the Community staff. If a user continue to make these topics, he or she will be reprimanded. Schoolwork Help If you have a question with school work, Community Chat is not the place to get it. Members are not allowed to ask for help with any school work. The work was assigned to you. Therefore, you must do the work. Members will not help you and topics asking for help will be removed. There are exceptions to this rule. If you are conducting a study and it applies to members of the Community, you may contact a Community staff member and request permission to start a topic. Introducing Yourself: The Revolving Door topic What is the Revolving door topic? For over 2 years now, we have had a monthly pinned topic for new members to introduce themselves and meet the Community. We call it the Revolving door topic because we also use it for members who are leaving the Community for a long or permanent period to say their goodbyes. Can I introduce myself if I joined a while back? We prefer that you don't. This is a topic for all our new members to introduce themselves and become acquainted with the Community. Older members who have joined had the opportunity to post in a previous topic. I'm going on a short vacation, can I say goodbye in that topic? We prefer that you don't make a habit of it, but once or twice is fine. If you are only gone for a short period, you don't need to post there. Where can I find the Revolving Door topic? The topic can always be found pinned at the top of this forum. As its activity varies depending on how many members we gain within a month, a new one may start afresh or we may recycle an old one. The current thread can be found here. Do drop by and say hello, or welcome our newest members.

Getting to know your Staff: The Community Moderators While the Global Support Team specializes in providing fast and accurate answers to all your InvisionFree/ZetaBoards questions, the Community Moderators keep the board free of inappropriate content and provide a safe and friendly atmosphere. The Community staff frequently run games and events, and several can be found in the IRC room daily. If there is a problem on the board, a Community Moderator is the first person to contact. Using the function allows the Community Moderators to quickly and efficiently deal with a problem with minimal fuss. There are occasions however when a problem is severe enough that it warrants immediate attention, in which the integrity or safety of the community is at risk or there are ongoing serious violations of our ToS/ToU or Board Rules. In these instances, you are asked to send a Personal Message to any online staff member. As of November 2009, the Community Moderators are: For a complete listing of Zathyus Networks staff, please refer to our Administration and Moderator List. The IRC channel is a fun place to meet your fellow members and get to socialize with your Community Moderators, Support Staff and Administrators. There are normally always 2 or 3 staff members in the room to talk with and to contact in case of an emergency either in the channel or on the Support Board.
