We will be performing some maintenance on the database on May 25th. The expected time for the work to be performed is 7:30-11:00AM EST (GMT -5). The boards will be unavailable for approximately 1 hour. The maintenance will increase speeds in the Moderator CP and when performing moderator actions. Those tools will cause a reduced load on the server thus causign a slight increase in overall board speed. The bulk of the downtime will be for an change to the database to allow the posts to be stored redundantly. This should allow for faster viewing of any pages dealing with posts. In addition this maintenance should eliminate any database errors (WPOD). |

The database maintenance is taking longer than expected. I will post an update as soon as I can give a good new estimate. |

Sorry for the longer than expected downtime. I canceled the database maintenance because it was estinmated to take 120-200 hours to complete due to a problem. No data was lost or damaged. The speed increase will still come today or tonight, but through a different upgrade that will cuase no downtime. |
