Adding a Calendar Event

"Not a Japanese Pigtailed Idol Meganekko" Posts: 6,142 Group: Members Member #2,298 Joined: June 8, 2003	First, click the Calendar link at the top right hand corner of your board. Then look at the bottom left hand corner, then click Add New Event, you'll be taken to the add new event screen. Here are the options listed here: Event title - the name of the event you want to post. Date for Event - here you can set the date of the event you want to post, there are a few options listed. Event on/starts - here you can set the date of the event, it should display the current date by default. Ranged event... - after setting the date you want your event to start on, you can also select how long you want the event to last here. These are the options listed under Ranged Event: Ends - sets when the ranged event ends, to choose when the event begins, you need to set the Event on/starts date. Background - if you set a color, it will display a color behind the event title of the ranged event on the calendar. Text - changes the color of the event titles text on the calendar. Recurring Event... - here you can set the Event on/starts date to be weekly, monthly, or yearly. Type of Event - here you can choose if you want the event to be public, or private. (viewable by you only) Admin Option - if you choose public event, here you can choose which groups can see the event. Everything else below is just like posting a reply on the board, don't forget that BBcode is enabled. When you're done, just click add calendar event. If you feel that you've made a mistake on your event just click calendar, find the event, click on the title of the event, then click the edit button to edit your event.

Unpredictable Posts: 9,156 Group: Members Member #7,846 Joined: November 22, 2003	Note: If you would like your members to be able to add calendar events, you must do the following: Go to your Admin CP Users and Groups Manage User Groups Edit Group(in the row of the member group) At the edit screen you will see a header called Posting Permissions. The last option under that header will be titled Can add events to the calendar?. By default, that is set to No. Set it to Yes if you would like your members to be able to add calendar events. After you are done click Complete Edit.
