i;m a mess Posts: 6,145 Group: Members Member #451 Joined: January 25, 2003	in my experience, not really. but then again, i don;t really have a way of judging whether new hits are due to the topsite, or not... if it was to my forums, then perhaps i'd be able to see, but as the topsite is linked to my site, its difficult to judge.

Unregistered	i think they work somewhat. i have about 6 topsites on my board, and ive been getting alot of lingering guests, and they join now and then. if youre high on a topsite i think it looks good on your board at the least. some guests may see that you're number 5 or so and think "hey, this must be a popular place if its that high up" i guess its personal preferance. if they dont "work" exactly, at least joining them helps spread the word. wont hurt anything, you know?

Member Posts: 1,861 Group: Members Member #4,318 Joined: August 18, 2003	I don't think they work, especially if your board is a simpsons board, and you submit it to a simpsons top sites, the only one who see's that top site's website, are other owners of simpsons boards, who won't join your simpsons board because it'd be helping the competition.
