WARNING: Be VERY careful of who you choose as your other Administrator(s) for your board. If you don't, you'll wind up with someone that is going to make a mess of everything. With that said, here's how to add another Administrator to your board. 1) In the Admin CP, find Users and Groups in the left menu. 2) At the bottom you'll see a link to Manage User Groups - click that. 3) At the bottom you'll find "Base new group on...", select the Admin group and click Set up New Group. 4) Under Global Settings, find "Group Title" and type in "Co-Admin" (without the quotes). 5) Find "Use Forum Permission Access..." and click on Admin Mask. 6) Scroll down some more until you see Moderation Permissions and find "Is Super Moderator (can moderate anywhere)?". Make sure that this is set it to Yes. 7) Below that, you will find "Can access the Admin CP?". Make sure that this is set it to Yes. 8) Below that, you will find "Allow user group to post in 'closed' topics?". Make sure that this is set it to Yes. 9) Click Add Group. You're almost there! It's now time to add the user(s) to that new group (Co-Admin): 1) In the Admin CP, find Users and Groups in the left menu. 2) The second one down should be a link to Find/Edit User - click that. 3) Type in the user's name and click Find Member. 4) Next to the user that you want make Co-Admin, click Edit Details. 5) Next to Member Group, choose "Co-Admin" (or the name that you used in the previous step). 6) Scroll down to the way bottom and click Edit this member. 7) Optional: Repeat this process to add more. You're done! There should now be 2 (or more) Administrators at your board. |
