Admin CP ›› Invisionfree Network ›› Domain Manager What is the Domain Manager? The domain manager is a place where you can add domains you own which have been correctly pointed to the server IP. What belongs in the Domain Manager? Any domain which has it's DNS correctly edited which points to the designated IP at the top of the Domain Manager, through the Address Records. What doesn't belong in the Domain Manager? URL/Domain forwards, domains you do not own, domains you haven't set up correctly (DNS wise), your InvisionFree URL. Does InvisionFree offer domains? No. Where can I get a domain? We have this topic which we recommend and give support for: http://support.invisionfree.com/index.php?showtopic=157480 How can I set up my domain 'correctly' so that the Address Records are pointed to the IP of my board's server? If you are using Yahoo as a domain host: http://support.invisionfree.com/index.php?showtopic=108764 Otherwise, several other domains hosts can be found in our Domain FAQs: http://support.invisionfree.com/index.php?showforum=124 Where can I find free domains? Nowhere, free domains come with a big catch, you're best off spending the $5-10 USD for a paid domain. However, this list of free subdomains could be of use to you: http://support.invisionfree.com/index.php?showtopic=157483 Where can I get support for Domain troubles that I'm having? Either via Support Ticket or in our Domain Support Forum. |
