Earlier this year, my dad bought a 3 computer license for Norton Internet Security 2009, it is much better than AVG and ZoneAlarm. It runs scans in times where you aren't actively using the computer, hence the name: Idle Time Scan. It has an innovative interface easy to use yet not hard to edit/customize. It runs in the background, hardly ever slows down my computer like AVG did when it ran it's daily scans. Also, read the reviews on this site. I linked to the 2nd page where rating begins, the first page is just gobbly-goop about what AV is and an introduction, nothing much. All ratings are out of 10, this is a professional magazine written by real techies and knowledgeable people, I suggest it to any and all fans of computers + software/hardware. I'll add some ratings here...you are free to look at the original site to see I didn't change any. Mcafee Total Protection 2009: 6/10 Norton Internet Security 2009: 9/10 Kasperky Internet Security 2009: 6/10 AVG Internet Security 8.0: 7/10 Avast! 4 Home Edition: 5/10 AviraAntivir: 8/10 FRISK Software F-Prot Antivirus: 5/10 AVG Free Edition: 5/10 PC Tools Antivirus: 3/10 ESET Smart Security: 9/10 If you said ESET or Norton is a good idea, thanks. My Personal Rating of Norton: 4.9/5 Edited by Jakɚ, Aug 9 2009, 09:41 PM.
