"Yeah, Bing is just as good as Google, but it isn't better, therefore MS fails miserably." It's called being part of a free market, if you don't innovate and do something better then the competitors you have a tendency to fail, by being just as good as Google you are not going to draw Google's users over to Bing, if you were better then Google you would have a better chance of drawing over Google's users.
